Welcome
The church's history dates back to the Chinese Bible study group on the Purdue University campus in the 1960s. This group later registered as a student organization at Purdue University—the Purdue Chinese Christian Fellowship (PCCF). Initially, the fellowship held its meetings at the Upper Room Christian Fellowship Church.
In 1993, the fellowship began holding Chinese Sunday worship services at Our Savior Lutheran Church (OSLC). On March 26, 1995, based on the fellowship's ministry, the Great Lafayette Chinese Alliance Church was officially established, continuing to use the OSLC Church as its meeting place until March 2007.
From April 2007 to March 2009, the church met at University Church, located opposite the Memorial Union Building (PMU) at Purdue University. From March 2009 to June 2016, the church primarily held meetings at the Wesley Foundation, located next to Krannert Center and opposite PMU and Stewart Center, and at the Upper Room Christian Fellowship Church.
The new church building officially broke ground on June 21, 2015 (Father's Day) and began trial use on June 19, 2016 (Father's Day). The dedication ceremony was solemnly held on September 18, 2016.
The church's ministry primarily includes worshipping God, edification and fellowship among members, and spreading the gospel. Jesus Christ is the complete source and reliance of this church. We are committed to learning God's Word, obeying the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and serving the Lord Jesus Christ through mutual love and service among brothers and sisters, living out His example and glorifying our Heavenly Father.
Initially, the church primarily served the Purdue University and Greater Lafayette area communities where Chinese is the primary language of communication. Since the fall of 2015, the church has expanded its English ministry, hoping to become a Christ-centered spiritual family welcoming brothers and sisters from all over the world.
